Who will I be training with?
At Sparta, athletes train in small groups. Not only does this increase the energy in the room, but it gives athletes the opportunity to learn by watching their peers perform similar lifts and skills.
Sparta coaches run each session with a 3:1 athlete to coach ratio. Click Here to learn more about Sparta's coaches.

What level of intensity can I expect?
Expect to be pushed -- After all this isn't your parents' health club. Not to worry though, you will be introduced to all movements and lifts by expert coaches, and at a level that matches your performance ability.
If you are a motivated athlete who wants to improve, then Sparta is the place for you.

Is the training program sport specific?
First we train you as an individual. We find your strengths and weaknesses when we test you on the force plate, and analyze your data against our extensive database of elite athletes.
We then take into account your sport, position, and goals that you have as an athlete. For example, giving extra attention to jump height if you are a volleyball player, or rotational power if you are a baseball player, etc.

What is my Sparta Scan?
When you come into Sparta for your tryout, you test on our force plate with our proprietary software. The data we receive from this test becomes your unique Sparta Scan -- Telling us how you move as an athlete, and what your strengths and weaknesses are in relation to force and time output. We review this with you on the second day of your tryout.
If you continue on a training program with Sparta, you will test on the force plate once a month. Your Sparta Scan will reflect the changes you are making in your performance, and more importantly, highlight how much you are reducing your risk for injury.
