System for analyzing athletic movement

Publication number: US9682280B1

Abstract: A system for analyzing athletic performance is disclosed. The system includes at least one sensor for sensing an aspect of an athletic movement for an athlete that varies during said movement and to generate sensor data corresponding thereto; and a processor for executing instructions to extract portions of the sensor data corresponding to a load phase, an explode phase, and a drive phase of the athletic movement.

Method and system for generating athletic signatures

Publication number: US9737758B1

Abstract: A method for profiling an athlete is disclosed. The method comprises storing force-time data for a population of athletes; wherein said force-time data is generated by a sensor system in respect of each of said plurality of athletes in response to the said athlete performing an athletic movement, and comprises values for a concentric net vertical impulse (CON-IMP), an average eccentric rate of force development (ECC-RFD), and an average vertical concentric force (CON-VF); performing a normalization of the force-time data for each athlete based on values of the force-time data within the population of athletes; and generating a profile comprising an athletic signature for each athlete in the population, wherein said profile comprises the normalized values for the concentric net vertical impulse (CON-IMP), the average eccentric rate of force development (ECC-RFD), and the average vertical concentric force (CON-VF) for the athlete.

Method and system for training athletes based on athletic signatures and a classification thereof

Publication number: US9223855B1

Abstract: A method for training athletes is disclosed. The method comprises: maintaining a classification for signatures generated based on movement data associated with athletes; wherein the movement data is stored in a database; associating guidance with each signature in the classification; and assigning a signature from the database to at least some athletes in the database.

Method and system for training athletes based on athletic signatures and prescription

Publication number: US10471290B1

Abstract: A method for training athletes is disclosed. The method comprises: calculating an athlete signature for an athlete comprising normalized values for the concentric net vertical impulse (CON-IMP), the average eccentric rate of force development (ECC-RFD), and the average vertical concentric force (CON-VF) for the athlete; analyzing the athletic signature; and assigning at least one training block to the athlete based on the analysis of the athletic signature.
