What's Your Plan B?

I had a great conversation today with the father of a high school volleyball player, who explained that a high school sports club was successful entirely due to results despite a poor job with customer service.

Results seem to be the most important thing in sports, whether you win or lose. However, the beauty of competition is that anything can happen; a bad team can have an upset against a highly favored opponent, a star player can randomly tank in the finals, or a last minute strategy can win out over a well thought out plan.

Sparta bases its results off the vertical jump, and occasionally our athletes don’t feel good that testing day and perform below their true potential. Without a solid relationship with these athletes and their support staff (parents, coaches, and agents), we would lose these individuals just off results. It’s a good thing we have a Plan B, our commitment to the relationship.
