San Francisco Business Times: Parisi Speed School Partners with Sparta Science To Bring Professional-Level Sports Technology To Aspiring Youth Athletes

Leading-Edge Sports Technology Leveraged by Top Professional Athletes, Now Available to Youth Athletes Across the Country

July 11, 2018 (MENLO PARK, CA) Sparta Science and Parisi Speed School today announced a partnership that will give youth athletes at Parisi’s flagship location in Fair Lawn, NJ, access to the same leading-edge injury prediction technology used by leaders in the professional sports world. Sparta’s proprietary technology creates a Movement Signature™ by pairing a functional movement assessment with predictive analytics backed by millions of data points collected from more than 600,000 professional and collegiate athletes so users can objectively measure injury risk, return-to-play readiness and training efficacy.

Bill Parisi, a multi-time NCAA Division I All-American at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, built Parisi Speed School around a never-ending pursuit of gathering the most current research on athlete resilience. His pursuit of science and passion for helping youth athletes perform optimally led him to create a system that has trained more than 650,000 athletes and is now available in more than 95 facilities and health clubs in 31 states. At Parisi Speed School Fair Lawn, that system will now include the Movement Signature.

“What the Sparta Science team has created is unlike anything else I’ve seen in sports technology,” said Parisi. “The Movement Signature is simple, easy, definitive and objective in a field where so little technology is quantifiable. We’re pleased to offer it to athletes in that all-important, developmental, 8- to 18-year-old range at our flagship training facility.”

“At Sparta Science, we’re dedicated to applying technology to the pursuit of optimal human performance and player resilience, and we know that much of performance and resilience is built in these formative years,” said Phil Wagner, M.D., CEO and founder of Sparta Science. “We’re pleased to have such a strong advocate for Sparta technology in Bill Parisi, whose dedication to building healthy athletes and pursuit of applying technology to that end is so aligned with our own.”

The Parisi Speed School partnership closes a record-breaking quarter for Sparta Science, which also signed partnerships with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Detroit Lions.
