Linebacker James Vaughters came to us after a successful career at Stanford looking improve his stock before the NFL Draft. He wanted to lose close to 20 pounds in order to become more mobile, and ready to compete in the pass-happy NFL. We helped him realize his goals with a tailored meal plan and used his Sparta signature to target strength and skill work, helping him maintain and transfer the large amounts of force he could initially produce. With an increase in force production and decrease in body weight, James’ relative strength was way up, and it showed in his Combine specific skills.
